Miss Utah Update

The American Legion website has a great story on Sgt. Jill Stevens (aka Miss Utah). There are quotes from several military members, including some who attended combat medic training with her. My favorite part of the story though is this quote from Sgt. Stevens:

“I couldn’t be more happy,” Stevens said at a reception following the pageant. “To get to be America’s choice is a priceless gift. It’s great to know that I wasn’t what those seven judges were looking for, but I was what America was looking for. I am more honored with that.”

You are what we were looking for Sgt. Stevens. It’s too bad the judges didn’t have the sense God gave a turkey- even then they would have been able to see your true worth (and turkeys are some pretty dumb birds).

  1. She would have been a great role model for young girls to have. Someone with some substance to them….
